At Peninsular Methodist Church, worship is at the heart of who we are. We are a welcoming and caring church family, rooted in the richness of traditional worship while also embracing fresh expressions of praise and creativity. Through the variety of gifts shared by our Methodist local preachers and worship leaders, our services offer a meaningful and uplifting experience for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We have recently invested in new technology to enhance our worship, allowing us to use visual imagery, music, and multimedia in ways that help bring the message of God’s love to life. Whether through familiar hymns, reflective prayers, inspiring preaching, or contemporary elements, we seek to create worship that is engaging, accessible, and Spirit-filled.
We recognise that everyone’s journey of faith is unique, and no two people worship in exactly the same way. That is why we value the diversity of worship styles and experiences shared within our church community. Together, we seek to grow in faith, encourage one another, and encounter God in fresh and meaningful ways.
Young people are an important part of our church family. Children begin worship with the wider congregation before joining Junior Church, where they explore faith, friendship, and the teachings of Jesus in a fun and welcoming environment with dedicated leaders.
As a church family, we especially treasure our monthly All Age Worship service on the second Sunday of each month, when all generations come together to worship, learn, and celebrate side by side.
Holy Communion is celebrated once a month, offering us an opportunity to gather around the Lord’s table in thanksgiving, reflection, and unity.
Jesus said, “Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” That promise shapes our worship and fellowship together. We believe God’s presence is truly felt in our services and in the conversations, friendships, and hospitality shared afterwards because fellowship is simply worship continued beyond the final hymn.
